Our beautiful and unique gifts are created from the abundant native tree fern of New Zealand, the Black Mamaku. These tall magnificent tree ferns or “Mamaku” (Cyathea medullaris) are a distinctive feature of New Zealands bush, and grow to a height of 20 meters with a graceful umbrella of fronds. Beneath the exceptionally hard outer bark, is the multi colored, natural horseshoe shaped grooves formed by each frond as it unfurls. Each tree’s pattern is unique to the individual, much like human finger prints.
